Bach, Barrios, & Brouwer – Guitar Through the Ages Join guitarist Nate Huvard as he performs a program that takes us through the history of classical guitar repertoire, featuring compositions by J.S. Bach, Mauro Giuliani, and Augustin Barrios, and Leo Brouwer. Suggested donation for the concert is $15.

Love Songs for Opera and Organ Mezzo-soprano Sarah Saturnino and organist Janet Yieh present an eclectic program of classic arias, American art songs and romantic organ music for Valentine’s Day. Featuring music by Puccini, Bizet, Bernstein and the Beatles, this concert will have something for everyone to love! Suggested donation for the concert is $15.

Debussy and Prokofiev: Reflections and Remembrances The Mecid-Lee Duo presents masterfully crafted Sonatas by Debussy and Prokofiev, written during both World Wars, and at the heights of their musical maturities. When faced with personal and societal difficulties during these times, both composers expressed their pains, hopes, and reflections through their Violin Sonatas. With Mevlan Mecid, violin, and Jenny Lee, piano. Suggested donation for the concert is $15.

From Brahms to Ligeti This program includes two quintessential horn trio masterpieces: Brahms (1865) & Ligeti (1982). The Ligeti was written in homage to the Brahms trio, despite a huge divergence in style. Featuring the Horowitz Horn Trio: Christine Wu, piano; Ariel Horowitz, violin; and Scott Leger, horn. Suggested donation for the concert is $15.

Fiddling Around the World A family-friendly musical performance of eclectic dance-driven fiddle music, with world champion fiddler Mari Black and her trio. Mari will take the audience on a journey around the world of fiddling, with music from Ireland, Scotland, Canada, the Americas, Romania, Argentina, and more. Toe-tapping delight for all! Featuring Mari Black & the World Fiddle Ensemble: Mari Black, violin; Conor Hearn, guitar; and Joe Magar, bass. Suggested donation for the concert is $15.

The Book of Beasts The medieval bestiary was a collection of descriptions and stories about animals, ranging from the mundane to the fantastic, which described moral and theological lessons to be learned from the natural world. We will explore music connected with several favorite creatures, including songs by Thibaut de Champagne and Richart de Berbezihl, and anonymous works from the Engleberg Codex and other sources.
