Support Public Art in Norwalk
The Norwalk Redevelopment Agency is putting forward a capital budget request of $250k to help all local arts organizations met matching funds when applying for public art grants. This is a great step forward to making it easier on artists and arts organizations to qualify for NEA, CT and other types of grant opportunities or projects.
A public hearing before the planning commission (the first step in having the budget approved) is planned for Wednesday, Feb 6th at 7:00pm in the community room at City Hall.
The Planning Commission would like to see public support for this initiative so if you can take time to draft an email, write a letter or show up and speak to support this request it will help make it happen.
