norwalk arts festival

We're watching the weather and we're still on!
Rain or Shine We're There Saturday June 20th:

pARTy in the Park is a musical, cultural and community experience hosted by the Norwalk Arts Commission. Take the trail from the Maritime Aquarium and walk along the river guided by art and activities, stroll through Heritage Trail and Oyster Shell Park as you make your way to Mathews Park - a jewel in the center of Norwalk. Home of Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum and Center for Contemporary Printmaking, the park is a green oasis along the Norwalk River. Come down and enjoy the music, the food, the art, the park, and each other.

The day will start at noon with an outdoor yoga event. Then throughout the day, Norwalk's cultural organizations will be hosting mini events and activities to entertain, enlighten and excite. As the afternoon unfolds, dancers, musicians and entertainers will perform at stages along the trail. As the evening kicks in concerts will take center stage. Local artists will be showcasing their works all day throughout the park.

Lights! Camera! Action! Connecticut has been host to many a film shoot and now you can see the results as part of the Norwalk Advisory Commission of Film's debut. See the clips and trailers of local scenes and be seen on the set of the Tunnel of Film.

Experience Norwalk's history firsthand as you encounter some of Norwalk's past residents during the Historic Pine Island cemetery experience. Actors dressed in period costumes will regale visitors with tales of Norwalk's storied past.

Pick up a brush and embrace your inner artist with the Norwalk Arts Commission's Collaborative Community Mural Project. An expansive canvas is at your disposal to unleash your creative energies and make art with your neighbors.
