A Broad’s Way
Jodi Stevens brings, “A Broad’s Way” back to CT! This extraordinary one-woman cabaret show employs many standards and familiar Broadway tunes in an entertaining homage to her own remarkable journey in professional theatre. With Musical Director Jerold Goldstein, “A Broad’s Way” is an often hilarious and sometimes moving cabaret event. One of the most exciting aspects of the show is that it evolves as her career does. New career experiences bring new aspects to this ever growing performance.
Since arriving in Connecticut to raise her family in 2001, Jodi has become a well known fixture on local stages racking up six Connecticut Drama Circle nominations in three years, including: “I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Menger’s – MTC Mazeppa – “GYPSY” – MTC Masha – “Vanya, Sonya, Masha and Spike” – MTC Paulette – “Legally Blonde” – Summer Theatre of New Canaan Velma Von Tussle – “Hairspray” – Summer Theatre of New Canaan And audiences loved her “Steal the Show” performance as Lina Lamont in last summers “Singin’ in the Rain” at Summer Theatre of New Canaan. And will soon be see as Tanya in “Mama Mia” at ACT of Connecticut, opening June 9, 2018 Her other credits include: Broadway: Pam – Original Company, “Urban Cowboy” – Bet/Lucy – Original Company, “Jekyll and Hyde “ Off Broadway: Claire Strider – “Under Fire” – NYMF, Doris – “The Body Shop” – Westbeth, Hildy Lincoln – “Eliot Ness in Cleveland” – Hal Prince Workshop. Jodi has played Marlene Di- etrich in 3 different shows: “Noel Coward and Friends” – Lincoln Center, Barry Manilow’s, “Harmony” – La Jolla Playhouse, and “Dietrich and Chevalier – The Musical” – St. Luke’s Regional: The Beggar Woman – “Sweeney Todd” – Gateway Playhouse, “Dracula the Musi- cal”- La Jolla Playhouse, “Heaven Help Us” – Denver Center, Lily St. Regis, 20th Anniversary of “Annie” – Goodspeed Opera House, “My Way” and “Love Letters” – MTC and The White Heron Theatre.
Films/TV: Oksana Nash – “Pervertigo”, Jill – “The Narrow Gate” Guest star roles include: “Younger”, “27 East”, “Conviction”, “Central Park West” and “Sex and the City”.
